The Paul Korner Seminar is hosted by Cornerstone Precinct Partner, Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.
This seminar highlights a few examples of research underway in the Precinct’s Flagship area of Heart Health – an area of shared strength in health and research at St Vincent’s Sydney Health Innovation Precinct.

| Dr. Nicholas Murray is a cellular biologist at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, working to characterise the role of cardiac-specific enhancers and non-coding RNAs in the regulation of heart development and risk of congenital disease. | Dr Deveza graduated with an MD degree from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and completed cardiology training in one of the largest cardiac centres in Latin America, Sao Paulo’s Heart Institute. He then completed a fellowship in heart failure and heart transplantation at St Vincent’s Hospital, followed by further specialty training in cardiology through St Vincent’s Hospital. He is currently finalising a PhD in mechanical circulatory support through the University of New South Wales and the Victor Chang Institute. |
